Worship Devotional - "Unconditional Love: The Covenant Foundation"

Aug 29, 2025

Key Scripture: "Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul." - 1 Samuel 18:3

Reflection The greatest reason for cutting covenant is love - and that's exactly why God made a covenant with you. God's covenant isn't based on your performance, your worthiness, or your ability to keep your end of the bargain. It's based on His unconditional love for you as demonstrated by sending His only Son to die for you.

Like the covenant between David and Jonathan, your covenant with God is founded on mutual love. God loves you as His own soul, and your part is to love Him in return through worship based on covenant truth. This isn't duty or obligation - it's the natural response of a heart that has been overwhelmed by divine love.

Breakthrough Praise -Todah
Key Scripture “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me.” — Psalm 50:23 Reflection The Hebrew word “Todah” describes thanksgiving offered before the answer appears. It is praise rooted in faith rather than visible evidence. Anyone can thank God after breakthrough arrives. But mature worshipers learn to thank Him while still waiting.
