Worship Devotional - "The Synergy of Prayer and Praise"

Oct 07, 2025

Key Scripture: "But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed." - Acts 16:25-26

Reflection Synergy is when two or more things work together to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. God's plan for every believer is to synergize prayer and praise to get maximum results. Separately, they're powerful and render amazing results, but when combined, they're literally earth-shaking.

When you pray, you fellowship with God by telling Him your needs or the needs of others. When you praise Him, you're telling Him that you believe your needs are met according to His Word. Someone wisely said, "Prayer asks but praise takes." When you mix your prayers with praise, you're asking and receiving at the same time.
