Worship Devotional - "The Kingdom Is With Us"

May 08, 2026

Key Scripture: "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you." - John 16:7

Reflection

Jesus told us three outstanding things: "I am going to the Father. I am leaving the kingdom with you. I am sending the Holy Spirit to you." These three statements changed everything for believers.

The Holy Spirit governs the kingdom on earth, but the kingdom is invisible except to those who see it by faith. It is a real kingdom but can only be entered into by faith. It is the realm of the Spirit where He operates and governs, where His presence hovers over our faith-filled words, ready to act.

If we don't know the Holy Spirit, we will never have access to the kingdom. He is our vital connection to everything Jesus purchased for us. The advantage to us is that the Spirit's presence abides in us individually—something that Jesus could not do while He was on the earth.

The church age, from the book of Acts until the present, is far better equipped than any other time in human history to experience and demonstrate the fullness of God in the earth through the Holy Spirit. As individuals, we have God on the inside to help us fulfill the will of God the Father and Jesus His Son. What an awesome privilege to be born in this time with the person of the Holy Spirit living in each one of us.

Today's Challenge

Recognize that you carry the kingdom of God within you through the Holy Spirit. Today, let your worship be an expression of kingdom authority—knowing that the Spirit is ready to act on your faith-filled words.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for sending the Holy Spirit. I recognize that Your departure made way for something even greater—the Spirit living inside me. Help me access the kingdom through the Holy Spirit today. Let my worship flow from this place of kingdom authority. Amen.

Worship that Ministers to the Lord -Zamar
Key Scripture “Sing praises to the Lord with the harp.” — Psalm 98:5 Reflection The Hebrew word “Zamar” refers to making music unto the Lord with instruments and singing. It carries the idea of worship that is skillful, intentional, and focused on ministering to God. Music has always carried spiritual significance throughout Scripture. Breakthrough Praise -Todah
Key Scripture “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me.” — Psalm 50:23 Reflection The Hebrew word “Todah” describes thanksgiving offered before the answer appears. It is praise rooted in faith rather than visible evidence. Anyone can thank God after breakthrough arrives. But mature worshipers learn to thank Him while still waiting. Todah praise declares confidence in God’s faithfulness even when ...
