Worship Devotional - "Preparing for His Return"

Jul 18, 2025

Key Scripture: "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen." Revelation 22:20-21 (NIV)

Reflection

The book of Revelation gives us a prophetic picture of God preparing the church for Christ's return. While God deals with sin through judgments, He simultaneously builds the church through worship. As we get closer to the end of this age, there will be an escalation of worship on the earth.

God will dismantle sin through judgments while building the church through worship at the same time. This is why worship is so vitally important - it's preparation for the fulfillment of the end of this age. Worship creates the "atmosphere" of heaven here on earth.
