Worship Devotional - "Magnify God with Thanksgiving"

Jul 02, 2025

Key Scripture: "I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify Him with thanksgiving." - Psalm 69:30

Reflection

We often reduce God to our size, which is why we don't see supernatural results. But the Bible calls us to magnify Him - to let people know that He is bigger than us and infinitely miraculous. Thanksgiving is one of the primary ways we magnify God in the eyes of the world.

When we magnify something, we make it appear larger. Through our thanksgiving, we draw attention to God's greatness and make Him appear bigger in people's perception. Our gratitude becomes a magnifying glass that helps others see the miraculous works He's doing in our lives.

Scripture: Psalm 103:2 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” One of the greatest enemies of gratitude is forgetfulness. The human mind naturally remembers pain more easily than faithfulness. Disappointments linger. Failures replay themselves. Fears amplify future uncertainty. This is why David intentionally commands his soul: “Forget not.” Gratitude often begins with rem...
