Worship Devotional - "God Hears Worshipers"

Oct 10, 2025

Key Scripture: "We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and a worshiper of Him and does His will, He listens to him." - John 9:31

Reflection God promises that He will listen to the prayers of worshipers. But how does God listen to your prayers? They first have to be "screened" through your High Priest Jesus, who presents them to the Father. Jesus is your intercessor, but He's not making intercession for you in terms of praying - He's representing your prayers to the Father.

If Jesus were currently praying for you, you wouldn't have to pray. His ministry of intercession is intervention, undertaking as a Mediator on your behalf before the Father. It's not just the content of your prayers that are screened through Jesus, but the condition of your heart. The content of your prayers must be based on God's Word, and the condition of your heart must be that of a worshiper.
