Worship Devotional - "Continuous Thanksgiving"

Aug 04, 2025

Key Scripture: "Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." - Colossians 2:7

Reflection

We're called to continually offer the sacrifice of praise by giving thanks to His name. The fruit of our lips comes from the seed of thanksgiving in our hearts. If you are continually thankful to God for saving you, you will produce fruit from your lips that will eventually produce a harvest in your life.

But there's more to thanksgiving than just being continuous - it must be of great quality and quantity. The Greek word for "abounding" means to super-abound in quantity or quality, to excel, to have enough and to spare, to exceed and increase. It's like a flower going from bud to full bloom.
