Worship Devotional - "A Superior Covenant with Superior Worship"

Sep 02, 2025

Key Scripture: "But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises." - Hebrews 8:6

Reflection Through Jesus, you've entered into a better covenant, superior to anything experienced by Old Testament saints. They worshiped God from a distance, but you worship close up and personal. They worshiped a God they had no relationship with, but you worship God as your Heavenly Father.

The Old Testament saints worshiped with a sense of condemnation, but you worship with all condemnation, guilt, inferiority, and unworthiness completely removed from your conscience through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Your thinking has been cleansed from dead works so you can serve God effectively and worship Him intimately.

Key Scripture “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me.” — Psalm 50:23 Reflection The Hebrew word “Todah” describes thanksgiving offered before the answer appears. It is praise rooted in faith rather than visible evidence. Anyone can thank God after breakthrough arrives. But mature worshipers learn to thank Him while still waiting.
