Spirit was made for fellowship

Jul 06, 2026

Scripture
Romans 12:11 “Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.”

Thought
Your spirit is the deepest and most eternal part of who you are. Though invisible, it is the truest expression of your identity. When humanity fell through Adam, mankind’s spiritual connection with God was severed. But through Jesus Christ, what was dead can now live again.

Salvation is more than forgiveness, it is spiritual rebirth. The Holy Spirit now dwells within every believer, not as a distant visitor but as a covenant partner. He guides, comforts, strengthens, and sustains.

Paul urges believers to remain “fervent in spirit.” The word fervent means boiling hot, alive, awake, burning with spiritual passion. A neglected spirit gradually grows cold, and spiritual coldness eventually affects every other area of life.

Gratitude keeps the spirit alive. Every time you acknowledge your dependence on God, seek His counsel, or commune with the Holy Spirit, you are strengthening your spiritual connection.

Reflection
Have you been living in continual awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence, or only turning toward Him in moments of need?

Prayer
Holy Spirit, awaken my spirit afresh. Teach me to walk in continual fellowship with You. Keep my heart fervent, sensitive, and grateful for Your presence every day. Amen.

God designed us as spirit, soul, and body, an integrated whole where every part of our being responds to Him together. David writes, “all that is within me.” This means gratitude is not me...
The Heart God Loves
Key Scripture “To this one will I look: to him who is humble and contrite in spirit.” — Isaiah 66:2 Reflection God is not primarily attracted to outward greatness. Scripture repeatedly reveals that He is drawn toward humility, surrender, and reverence. The presence of God rests where pride diminishes. Many desire God’s power while resisting humility. Yet throughout Scripture, brokennes...
Worship in Spirit and Truth
Key Scripture “The true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth.” — John 4:23 Reflection Jesus revealed one of the deepest truths about worship during His conversation with the Samaritan woman. He declared that the Father is actively seeking worshipers—not merely gatherings, songs, or religious rituals—but worshipers. This reveals something extraordinary about God’s heart. The F...
