Worship Devotional - "You Are the Temple"

Sep 03, 2025

Key Scripture: "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" - 1 Corinthians 3:16

Reflection One of the most revolutionary aspects of the New Covenant is that your personal body has become the temple of worship. From the day of Pentecost forward, it was no longer necessary to go to a physical temple and offer sacrifices through a human priest. Now the High Priest (Jesus) has come to live inside believers, and you have become the tabernacle of God.

This changes everything about worship. You don't have to wait for a special time, place, or person to facilitate your worship. Every moment of every day, you carry the presence of God with you. Your body is the sanctuary, your heart is the holy of holies, and you have direct access to the Father through Jesus.

He was reading and meditating on God's Word throughout the day, and each encounter produced praise. He had developed a lifestyle of praise. Seven times a day suggests that prais...
Worship Devotional - God's Word Is My Song

This reveals something profound: the source of all Christian singing must be God's Word. If the lyrics don't support biblical truth, the songs do not support true praise. We live i...
Worship Devotional - "Rejoicing in His Testimonies"
Key Scripture: "I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches." - Psalm 119:14   Reflection The psalmist makes an extraordinary comparison: he rejoiced in God's testimonies as much as in all riches. Think about that. The Word of God brought him the same level of joy that winning the lottery would bring most people—perhaps even more. Rejoicing and praise are deeply con...
