Worship Devotional - "Prayer: A Cry of Confidence"

Oct 08, 2025

Key Scripture: "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you... Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." - John 16:23-24

Reflection Before God can answer your prayers, He expects you to have utmost confidence in Him answering them. The word "confidence" means persuaded into action, free and fearless, cheerful and courageous. It's being convinced about God's Word that motivates you to act on it in prayer accompanied with thanksgiving and joy.

The spiritual barometer of the prayer of faith is the joyful expectation of things prayed for. Notice in John 16:23-24 that when you receive an answer to prayer, the result is that your joy is full and complete - assuming there was joy to start with. Joy isn't just the result of answered prayer; it's the indicator that you're praying in faith.

As much as God is true and genuine in all His ways,...

It's the great "I Am" that receives worship now. If God were an object, our worship would simply be based on knowledge about it. However, He is not an object but a Person who receives personal, present-tense worship. J...
Worship Devotional - "You Cannot Worship in Ignorance"
Key Scripture: "You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews." - John 4:22 Ā  Reflection Jesus made an amazing statement to the Samaritan woman. He told her that although she was a worshiper of God, she did not know the God she worshiped. This proves that it is possible to worship in ignorance. In fact, many people actually do, and their worship benefit...
