Worship Devotional - "Jesus Sings Before His Greatest Hour"

Sep 15, 2025

Key Scripture: "And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives." - Matthew 26:30

Reflection The last thing Jesus did with His disciples collectively before Calvary was sing. This wasn't casual background music or religious obligation - this was strategic spiritual preparation. Key Scripture: "Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms." - James 5:13   Reflection When joy fills your heart, James says the response should be singing - specifically singing psalms. The word "cheerful" here means euphoric, ecstatic pleasure, a feeling that makes you want to explode with unrestrained joy. This joy needs expression, and God's chosen method is song. James is telling us to be so ...
